The most important features are:
1) PTT swtich: Press-to-talk (also known as Push-to-talk) switch is the button that needs to be pressed when you want to speak over the walkie-talkie.
2) Volume control: Volume control button is used to adjust the volume broadcasted from the radio sets.
3) Selection button: Selection button is used to select the channel and joining the channel.
STEPS IN RADIO COMMUNICATION
1) Initiation: The initiator will have to call out the addressee.
- Example: Bravo (this is addressee), this is Alpha (this is initiator), over.
2) Acknowledgement: The addressee needs to call out the initiator's name or callsign. This is to ensure that he knows who he is talking to. Command 'Send' is given to give permission to the initiator to transmit his message.
- Example: Alpha (initiator), this is Bravo (addressee), send, over.
3) Continuation of conversation: At this stage (after initiation and acknowledgement), both parties will just need to identify temselves before they speak and end with 'over' after their last sentence.

4) End call: To end a conversation, replace 'over' with 'out'. There is no need to say 'over' and 'out' to do so.
