OLYMPIC GAMES
The first Games was hosted in the Panathenaic stadium in Athens in 1896. These Games brought together 14 nations and 241 athletes who competed in 43 events. The Winter Olympics were created to feature snow and ice sports that were logistically impossible to hold during the Summer Games. The olympic games are held once every four years.

SOUTHEAST ASIAN GAMES (SEA Games)
The Southeast Asian Games (also known as the SEA Games), is a biennial multi-sport event involving participants from the current 11 countries of Southeast Asia.
The Southeast Asian Games owes its origins to the Southeast Asian Peninsular Games or SEAP Games. On 22 May 1958, delegates from the countries in Southeast Asian peninsula attending the 3rd Asian Games in Tokyo, Japan had a meeting and agreed to establish a sport organization.
Thailand, Burma (now Myanmar), Malaya (now Malaysia), Laos, South Vietnam and Cambodia (with Singapore included thereafter) were the founding members.

COMMONWEALTH GAMES
The Commonwealth Games is an international, multi-sport event involving athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations. As well as many Olympic sports, the Games also include some sports that are played mainly in Commonwealth countries, such as lawn bowls, rugby sevens and netball. The event was first held in 1930 under the title of the British Empire Games in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
There are currently 54 members of the Commonwealth of Nations, and 71 teams participate in the Games.

FIFA WORLD CUP


The FIFA World Cup is an international association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the sport's global governing body.


The current champions are Spain, who won the 2010 tournament. Brazil have won five times, and they are the only team to have played in every tournament. The other World Cup winners are Italy, with four titles; Germany, with three titles; Argentina and inaugural winners Uruguay, with two titles each; and England, France, and Spain, with one title each.


The first World Cup was held at Uruguay in 1930. The next three World Cups will be hosted by Brazil in 2014, Russia in 2018, and Qatar in 2022.
