1. Ceremonial Uniform (Type 1)
· To be worn by the Guard of Honour in major parades such as NPCC Day parade, SYF Opening Ceremony Parade etc,
· Units can also request to wear the Ceremonial Uniform on important school functions such as School Opening Ceremony, speech day.
Male· Beret ( for cadets )
· Peaked Cap ( for officers )
· White Ceremonial Tunic
· Black Ceremonial pants with belt
· Boots ( for cadets )
· Zipper boots ( if on parade ) / shoes ( for officers )
Female· Beret ( for cadets )
· Round hat ( for officers )
· White Ceremonial Tunic
· Black Ceremonial skirt with belt
· Boots ( for cadets )
· Boots ( if on parade ) / court shoes ( for officers )
Point to note: · The ceremonial uniform is not to be worn with any badges or name tags. Officers with medals may wear them on the ceremonial uniform. Ranks are to be worn on shoulder epaulettes
2. Normal Full Uniform (Also known as: 1. Combat Uniform-----2. Working Dress)
· The NPCC full uniform is to be worn during normal NPCC activities such as lectures, muster parades, courses etc,
Points to note:
· The SPF badge can also be worn by Cadet Inspectors. It is to be worn above the left pocket ( for males ) or on the left side of the uniform in line with the name tag ( for females );
· The first of any badges 8,9,10 and 11 awarded should be worn directly above the left pocket for boys. As for girls, the badges should be in line with the first button;
· Subsequent badges awarded should worn next to each other in the order of precedence as shown;
· Only one of the 3 badges should be worn for the Neighbourhood Watch Badge and the Drill Badge.
· The Total Defence Badge should be worn directly above the 3 badges on the right.
· Female officers should wear boots when performing drills or marching on parade
· Headdress: beret to be 2.5 cm above left eye, well folded / seasoned and folded towards the right;
· Shirt/blouse: no part of the uniform should be waxed or starched as this will cause the uniform to wear out and tear easily. It should also be well fitted;
· Trousers: should not be too long or short. A good guide is up till the 2-3rd lace hole of the boots/shoes;
· Skirts: should end above the knee but should not be too short/tight fitting
· Boots: should not be burnt or waxed as this will cause the leather to crack easily. No studs/horse shoes should be attached to the soles of the boots;
· Belt: to be cleaned and polished. Belt holes should also be blacked. It should be clearly seen when in uniform.
3. Half Uniform with Headdress (Also known as: Drill Order)
There are 2 types of half uniform:
I. The Drill Order
II. The Walking Order
The Drill Order ( to be worn during drill practice )
- Head dress
- Tucked in NPCC/school T-shirt
- Trousers/skirt with belt
- Boots/shoes with black socks
The Walking Order ( to be worn when walking from one place to another )
- Without head dress
- Tucked in NPCC/school T-shirt
- Trousers/skirt with belt
- Boots/shoes with black socks
4. Mufti
Also can be worn when travelling from one place to another
- Tucked in NPCC/school T-shirt
- Trousers/skirt with belt
- Track shoes with black socks
5. Physical Training (PT) Attire
- NPCC/school T-shirt
- Shorts/track pants/slacks
- Black socks
- Track/canvas shoes
